Yambol

Yambol (or Jambol) is a town in southeastern Bulgaria located on the Tundja river. It is a commercial center and produces textiles, machinery, ceramics, and furniture. There are mineral springs nearby. The city was known in Roman times. The ancient Thrachian town of Kabile is several km to the north of the town. Yambol was a residence of Turkish beys from the 15th to 18th century. There are an 18th-century church, a Turkish mosques and a 17th century covered bazaar.
