Super Borovets project

The Super Borovets project is a massive development of commercial and residential properties funded by private investors and supported by the government. Development includes new golf courses; gondola lifts new ski pistes, hotels, walking and biking trails, commercial and residential buildings.

The project will incorporate the town of Samokov and the large village of Beli Iskar and expand the current resort of Borovets into a year round holiday destination. This 300-400 million Euros project will commence in 2007 and is part of the ambitious plans to host the 2014 Winter Olympics. Because of the extensive amount of development that is in and around the Borovets area, property in Borovets is becoming a hot real estate item in Europe.

Borovetz Information

Famous for its winter sports facilities and the warm Bulgarian culture, Borovetz Ski Resort is the oldest and renowned winter holiday destination. In order to preserve the traditional Bulgarian atmosphere and prevent the resort from over-building a new Project called "Super Borovetz" came in existence. Due to Super Borovetz the 45km modern ski runs will double in number offering easy access to the ski slopes to all winter sport enthusiasts. Situated on the northern slopes of Rila Mountain at an elevation of 1350m the village has a good selection of restaurants, hotels, shops and nightspots.

In 2009 Borovets will look much different from today - the resort will spread from the town of Samokov to the village of Beli Iskar and will be divided into three levels.

The first level will be situated at 1100 m above the sea level, 6 km away from the town of Samokov. The second level will cover the nowadays Borovets resort situated at 1300-1350 m above the sea level and will provide at about 10,000 beds. The prices on this level will be higher than those of the previous level.

The third level "Super Borovets" will accommodate those tourists who are looking for the luxury and style of the 5-star hotels. "Super Borovets" will be located at 1600-1800 m above the sea level and the number of beds will not exceed 1500-2000.

Skiing

Beginners

A great resort for beginners with a high standard of English speaking instruction and gentle nursery slopes, just beside the Rila Complex and barely three minutes' walk from the Hotel Samokov and our chalet.

Intermediates

Borovets is a very good resort for intermediates. The well-planned lift system includes the 3-mile, six-person Yastrebets gondola, which opens up a wealth of enjoyable runs.

Advanced

the expert skier there is the testing World Cup run, one of the more challenging pistes in the Yastrebets area or the excellent skiing through the trees and off-piste.

Snowboard Guide

Borovets is one of the highest rideable areas in Europe with some well varied terrain. There are 45 km of piste split into three areas with open pistes and some fun lines through the trees.

Child care - Children between 2 and 4 years old can attend the Rila Hotel kindergarten (working hours: 9a.m. - 4.30p.m. and 7p.m. - 7a.m.). Children from 4 to 7 years old can be enrolled in the skiing kindergarten, located in the neighbourhood of the Rila Hotel (working hours: 9a.m. - 4.30p.m.)

The Borovetz ski school of international prestige and long-standing traditions has more than 200 ski instructors, all of them fluent in different languages. Skiing classes come in 5 difficulty levels, from A to E - in groups or individually - 4 hours per day, 6 or 12 days. All course graduates receive skiing certificates.

Borovetz has ten ski rental services, situated next to the lift station around the ski runs. The cabin cable way to the peak of Yastrebets is the most imposing one. Its capacity adds up to 1200 people per hour. The journey takes 23min. Hiking trails may be undertaken from Borovets along marked routes to various sites in Rila - to mount Mussala.

We will immediately pay the sum to the seller and he will take the property off the market.
